AC Shadows Introduces Surprising AoT Crossover for Holiday Season

In a surprising partnership that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the official release, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar tests and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an unique katana together with numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

The series earlier included a 2020 crossover story linking Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
