Messages Uncover the late financier and Steve Bannon Relationship

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK to deliver a address at the Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters slowed down my talk I doubt I can catch the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an amazing assistant".

These exchanges were released on this week alongside over 20,000 pages from the records of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is withheld. The BBC managed to establish his involvement by matching the dates, events, and locations mentioned.

For example, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, did not reply on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as the president's key advisers in the run up to the presidential election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in August 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a film about Epstein prior to his death and allegedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his show earlier this year, he said: "We plan to release the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile occasionally appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A short time before the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you're taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The released communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in that year.

On the day of his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this day with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the period, he continued: "The guys are attempting to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view staying as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so people see the commitment of your follow through."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Will Theresa May remain in power". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the guys over here have no balls" and noted "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - someone has to take charge".

May was finally toppled in 2019 after withstanding two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The US House of Representatives will vote next week on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its records concerning its investigation into Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.
